Blue Cheese Burgers. Who doesn't love blue cheese? It is seriously so good! The melt in your mouth texture of the cheese mixed with the charred, juicy burger creates the most perfect flavorful sensation. Mix up a spicy sauce of your choice to add on top to compliment the blue cheese perfectly. Add any veggies you would like, this burger is your open canvas because seriously anything works.
Burgers have always been one of my favorite foods to make. I love how many different variations you can make and each one completely changes the dish. That is what is so cool about cooking, you can literally create endless flavor combinations just by switching ingredients in and out.
Now here is my thing with burgers. I can't do the super cheap regular burger buns that are so dry they crumble when you bite into it. We are OBSESSED with potato buns. I think a burger either teens to be on a burger but, or a nice brioche bun. I plan on trying to make my own brioche buns someday, so stayed tuned for that awesomeness.
Let me also tell you, Nate paired this burger with a DELICIOUS homemade buffalo type sauce. A juicy burger stuffed with blue cheese, topped with blue cheese with a spicy buffalo sauce. Holy smokes talk about absolute burger perfection.

The Steps:
The best part about burgers is 1. they are so easy to mess up and 2. you literally just throw everything in a bowl and mix it together. There is no special process you just dump it all in!
In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, parsley flakes, bread crumbs and blue cheese crumbles. Mix with your hands until well combined. With your hands, form parries about 5 inches in diameter. You should be able to make about 8 burgers.
Grill them on one side covered on medium heat for about 3 minutes quarter turning it halfway through. Flip and repeat. Depending on how you like your burgers, you can keep them on longer. I usually go for a medium rare doneness.
What do I do if I don't eat red meat?
You could definitely switch the ground beef for ground chicken or ground turkey. For ground chicken you can just simply replace it and keep everything else the same. For ground turkey, depending on how dry the meat is, you might want to add an extra egg. Turkey is definitely a dryer meat.
What if I don't like blue cheese?
Well....this burger might not be the right fit for you. You can definitely take it out and replace it with another cheese, totally up to you!
What do you do for toppings?
I usually go for onion, tomato, lettuce and I always spread mayo on my bun. When it comes to sauce, I either go for a classic ketchup or I'll use whatever Nate conjures up. Nate does this thing where he doesn't write down what he makes, which I totally get because I just naturally think like a blogger and do it. I told him next time he makes an awesome sauce he needs to measure so that I can share it with you guys! He is the master of sauces so I promise I am working on it!
