Brown Butter Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats are a peanut butter lover's dream. The rich, sweet and salty flavor shines through with a perfect crispy texture in every single bite. The secret here is the browned butter, it adds SO MUCH flavor.
In a skillet, add the butter and melt it on medium low heat. Keeping the burner at a medium low heat, brown the butter. Make sure it is not turned up too high or the butter will burn which will ruin the flavor.
Add the peanut butter and stir constantly. The peanut butter will melt into the butter.
Once a smooth and creamy texture is acquired, add in the marshmallows. Mix the marshmallows until they melt into the peanut butter.
Add the Rice Krispies and mix until completely coated.
In a casserole dish lined with parchment paper, add the coated Rice Krispies into the casserole dish and evenly form the mixture to the dish.
Place in the fridge for at least one hour so that they can harden and then evenly cut the Rice Krispie treats into squares.
