Pork Vegetable Dumplings in a Spicy Sriracha Beef Broth
Soft and sticky dumplings filled with fresh pork, veggies and herbs all sitting in a spicy Sriracha beef broth. The pork and vegetable mixture is simple, but packs this dish with flavor and when paired with the spicy Sriracha beef broth, creates the perfect marriage of Asian inspired flavors.
Chop the bok choy and dice the green onion. Dice towards the bottom of the green onion as well where it is more white in color.
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped bok choy, diced green onions and salt and pepper.
Place a dumpling wrapped on a plate and add about 2 teaspoon of pork picture in the center.
Dip one finger in water and wet the perimeter of the wrapper.
Fold the perimeter of the wrapper in towards the center until it is closed.
Repeat these steps until all of the pork is used.
In a skillet heat up sesame oil.
Place the dumplings in the oil and allow them to cook 5-8 minutes until the bottoms brown.
Add ¼ cup of water into the pan and cover immediately. Allow the dumplings to steam for ten minutes.
While the dumplings are steaming, add beef broth, chili garlic sauce and Sriracha sauce into a sauce pan. Mix well. Allow the broth to simmer on medium low for about 5-8 minutes until warm.
Remove dumplings from the pan into a bowl. Pour the broth on top of the dumplings.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top of the dumplings as a garnish. Serve immediately.
