Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 430 degrees.
  • Let the sheets of puff pastry thaw to room temperature. Using a sharp knife, slice both sheets into thirds along the folds. Cut each third in half to make a rectangle. Use 6 pieces as the base and take the other six and cut out a rectangle in the middle to make a frame.
  • Place the frame along the edges of each base and push down lightly so they form together. Place the pastries on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Crack an egg into a bowl and whisk. Using a basting brush, baste the entirety of each pastry. This egg wash will help the pastry cook. Bake your pastries for about 10 minutes or until they begin to brown.
  • Place the Nutella in a microwave safe bowl and microwave about 20 seconds to make it more spreadable. Spread the Nutella in the middle of the pastry on the inside of the frame.
  • Slice the strawberries and place them over the Nutella. In a bowl combine the water and powdered sugar and drizzle that over the top. Serve and enjoy.
