How to Make a Roasted Garlic Butter Board Recipe

Butter boards are here and I am excited about it. This version is the perfect combination of flavors with roasted garlic cloves, fresh herbs, seasonings and creamy, smooth butter.

Equipment

  • 1 small charcuterie board
  • serving knives

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • ¼ cup chives chopped
  • black pepper and sea salt to taste
  • honey drizzled
  • bread of your choice to serve with

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut the top of the garlic bulb off. Drizzle with olive oil and add some salt and then wrap the bulb in tin foil. Bake for 30-40 minutes.
  • Soften the sticks of butter in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time and remove before butter starts to melt. Spread the room temperature butter out on a small board using a butter knife or the back of a spoon.
  • Mash the roasted garlic and spread on top of the butter. Add chopped chives, parsley, salt and pepper. Drizzle honey on top and add a little fresh lemon zest.
  • Slice your bread. Serve with the butter board. Spread some of the butter on your bread before enjoying.

Notes

-serve with bread of your choice.
-bread in photograph is Trader Joe's French Onion focaccia. 
-save leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge and use as compound butter.
