Equipment

  • 1 sharp knife and cutting board
  • 1 sharp bread knife

Ingredients

  • 1 sourdough loaf fresh
  • 12 slices prosciutto
  • 1 wheel brie cheese
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce sliced
  • 1 heirloom tomato
  • 4 tablespoon pepper jelly
  • 4 tablespoon hot honey

Instructions

  • Slice sourdough loaf into 2 pieces vertically. Slice both pieces of bread in half horizontally. Using your hands, take out some of the center of the bread.
  • Slice the tomato and lettuce. Slice the brie cheese into ½ inch slices.
  • Spread pepper jelly on the bottom slice of bread. Add sliced lettuce on top of the pepper jelly. Place one tomato slice on top of the lettuce.
  • Layer brie and slices of prosciutto on top of the tomato. Drizzle hot honey on top.  Add top slice of bread to close the sandwich. Wrap in parchment paper and cut both sandwiches in half. Serve immediately or save for later.

Notes

  • save leftovers in the fridge for up to 2-3 days wrapped in plastic wrap.
  • ingredients can be frozen prior to assembling the sandwich for up to 2 months.
  • this sandwich is perfect to wrap up and take to the beach.
