Equipment

  • Skillet
  • 9x9 inch casserole dish

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 10 oz bag marshmallows
  • 1 stick unsalted butter

Instructions

  • In a skillet, add the butter and melt it on medium low heat.  Keeping the burner at a medium low heat, brown the butter.  Make sure it is not turned up too high or the butter will burn which will ruin the flavor.
  • Add the peanut butter and stir constantly.  The peanut butter will melt into the butter.
  • Once a smooth and creamy texture is acquired, add in the marshmallows.  Mix the marshmallows until they melt into the peanut butter.
  • Add the Rice Krispies and mix until completely coated.
  • In a casserole dish lined with parchment paper, add the coated Rice Krispies into the casserole dish and evenly form the mixture to the dish.
  • Place in the fridge for at least one hour so that they can harden and then evenly cut the Rice Krispie treats into squares.

Notes

Keep in a tupperware or ziploc in the fridge.
