Cheesy Garlic Bread Dip Recipe with Roasted Garlic

Equipment

  • 1 small or medium baking dish
  • 1 Medium Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Rubber Spatula
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 sharp knife and cutting board
  • 1 microplane or garlic press
  • 1 Cheese Grater
  • 1 Baking Sheet

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • cup sour cream
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 heads garlic roasted
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoon parsley fresh
  • olive oil to toast bread
  • 1 French baguette

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Slice the top of two heads of garlic off. Place each had of garlic in a bed of aluminum foil. Drizzle olive oil over each head of garlic and add salt and pepper. Wrap garlic in aluminum foil and bake 40-45 minutes until garlic is roasted and slightly golden brown.
  • Slice French baguette. Coat both sides of bread slices with a drizzle of olive oil. Bake about 15 minutes or until baguette is lightly toasted.
  • Add softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, raw garlic, and roasted garlic to a medium mixing bowl. Mix until combined. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper and fresh parsley. Mix until combined. Transfer dip to a baking dish.
  • Bake garlic bread dip for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown on top and bubbling. Remove from oven. Serve immediately with crusty bread or save for later.

Notes

  • save leftovers in an airtight container or in the baking dish covered with aluminum foil in the fridge for 3-5 days.
  • these ingredients do not stand up well to freezing.
  • reheat leftovers in the oven or the microwave prior to serving.
