Equipment

  • 1 sharp bread knife
  • 1 sharp knife and cutting board
  • 1 medium bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf fresh sourdough bread from the bakery section
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 8 oz mozzarella fresh
  • 1 heirloom tomato
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon hot honey

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, add arugula. Add in lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper and toss.
  • Slice heirloom tomato.
  • Slice the sourdough loaf into 4 equal sections, then cut each in half to open the loaf. Pull out some of the bread in the center of the loaf.
  • Place seasoned arugula on the bottom piece of bread. Add a slice of tomato. Top with 2 slices of prosciutto. Pull apart the mozzarella ball and place on top of prosciutto.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze and hot honey on top of cheese. Please top bread slice over the mozzarella to close the sandwich. Serve immediately.
