Banana Cake with Chocolate. Moist, sweet banana cake topped with a hard chocolate coating. The cake is cooked to a dense perfection and the chocolate coating pairs perfectly with the banana flavor.

This is the perfect birthday cake. It serves plenty for a big party and is always a hit. I also find that it isn't a common birthday cake and guests always love the change of pace. It is also a great cake around Easter time or the summer holidays when bananas are in season.
This was inspired by my carrot cake recipe. This cake is also perfect for birthdays or holidays!

FAQ's
Add ½ tablespoon of vinegar and 2 teaspoon of baking soda to 8 tablespoon of milk. Mix the ingredients together to create sour milk.
You need to add the chocolate bars to the cake immediately after removing the cake from the oven. This will allow the chocolate to melt evenly over the cake so you get a nice coating.
Equipment
To make this recipe, you will need a mixer of some sort. I suggest a KitchenAid mixer! It makes the preparation a lot easier! A casserole 9x13 in baking dish is also needed for baking!
Storage
Save leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Top tip
Make sure you immediately add the chocolate to the cake after you take it out of the cake pan. You want the cake to still be hot so that it melts on the cake evenly.
