Who doesn't love a refreshing Classic Margarita? The salt, the lime...the tequila, all paired together to make a delicious tasty cocktail. Picture yourself sitting by the pool sipping on this delicious and refreshing drink...are you picturing it yet? I know I am, and it sounds like pure perfection.
Fun fact about me. The first drink I ever ordered from a bar once I turned 21 was a classic margarita. I LOVE them and I love all varieties of them! Whether it is a classic, peach, mango, strawberry, frozen, on the rocks, I just can't get enough of this delicious cocktail.
Nate, my fiancรฉ, used to be a bartender. Let me tell you, moving in with him was the best thing I ever did because he throws tasty cocktail ideas my way all the time. So, I have to give credit where credit is due. Most of my cocktail recipes are and will be a combination of me and Nate. He is the mastermind behind the drink recipes and we love to work together to find the perfect mix for our taste buds.
I have actually learned a lot from Nate and his cocktail mixes and have even begun to branch out on my own with a lot of drink recipes. He always just seems to get the perfect amounts of each element of the cocktail in order to provide the most refreshing drink experience.

Kitchen Appliances:
The Steps
It is really simple to make this signature cocktail. In a cocktail shaker, mix the tequila, lime juice and triple sec with ice. Coat the rim in lime juice and then dip the rim of your glass in the salt or sugar. Pour the Sprite in your glasses. Shake the cocktail shaker until combined and pour over the Sprite. Mix with a small straw or spoon.
Garnish with a lime!
Why do you use Sprite?
I prefer Sprite over the typical Simple Syrup for my classic margs. I think it makes the drink more refreshing which is exactly what I am looking for when I make a marg!
Do I have to use lime juice?
If lime isn't your thing, there are a ton of other flavor combos you can create! Buying lime juice can be a little easier because you can buy lime juice pre juiced, but you can always juice any other fruit and add that in! You also can give it a frozen twist by adding some ice!
Do I have to use tequila?
The simple answer to this question is yes. If you use a different liquor other than tequila, it is not a margarita. If tequila isn't your thing, you can always change the increments and add more lime juice to try and hide the tequila flavor as much as possible!
Can I do sugar around the rim instead?
YES! Here is a little secret. I don't do salt. I don't actually like the flavor of salt with a margarita. I know it is the typical and routine ingredient for a marg, but I can't do it! Nate on the other hand does salt on his rim! It is totally personal preference and whatever you decide is totally up to you!
