Grilled peaches are the perfect addition to any margarita during peach season. This cocktail is sweet with a little kick of blanco tequila and a hint of char flavor from the grill on the peach wedges. It is the perfect way to use fresh summer peaches.
This recipe is great to enjoy during the summer months. Peaches are typically the most ripe during this time, especially towards the middle to end of summer. The juicier the peach the better the fruit juice so it is very important to get them in season. This is the best cocktail to sip on by the pool, on the beach on vacation or to serve at a July 4th or Labor Day barbecue.
This recipe pairs well with this Grilled Steak with Chimichurri Sauce.

Substitutions
- Peaches - instead of peaches, use grapefruit, orange, or limes
- Tequila - use gold tequila if preferred
- Simple Syrup - instead of store bought, make your own simple syrup for an authentic flavor
Variations
- Spicy - add grilled jalapeños into the shaker to infuse some spicy flavor into the drink
- Not Grilled - skip the step of grilling and just add fresh peach juice, peach puree or peach schnapps to the drink
- Mocktail - skip the tequila and triple sec and replace it with club soda or seltzer water
- Frozen - mix in the blender with ice cubes for a frozen margarita mixture
Equipment
To create this recipe, a gas grill, cocktail shaker, and lemon juicer are needed. A margarita glass is also needed to create this recipe.
Storage
Store leftover ingredients in a sealed drink container or pitcher in the refrigerator.
These ingredients don't stand up well to freezing.
Top tip
Add a little fresh lime juice for a little tangy flavor. Peaches can be very sweet and the lime juice helps bring a little extra flavor that you don't get from the peaches.
FAQ
I prefer a sugar rim with this recipe. I like the salt rim with a more citrusy flavored margarita. A sugar rim seems to really compliment this peach margarita recipe well.
If triple sec is not available, any orange liqueur can be used.
