There is nothing better than a frozen, fruity peach daiquiri on a hot summer's day! It is not only refreshing but also has so much peachy flavor! The perfect drink to sip on by the pool or pack up and take a batch to the beach with you! This will most definitely be my drink for the summer this year!
Frozen daiquiris have always been my favorite. I hate the flavor of alcohol and these always do such a great job hiding it while also providing such a delicious fruity kick! Growing up, I used to get virgin strawberry daiquiris to sit by the pool with when we were on vacation. My Mom had to order them for me since I was obviously not allowed to order from the bar. I was so excited to go the first year after turning 21 because I could finally get the alcoholic version AND order by myself! I was shocked and pleased to find that it actually tasted the same with alcohol as it did without! That's a win!
Nate and I will sometimes make these after a long day of yard work to reward ourselves. They are packed with a ton of fruit so it definitely makes you feel a little better than when you have drinks packed with sugary sodas!
Nate and I sit by his parent's pool every Sunday over the summer and I can definitely tell you this will be made a few times this year! You can even top it with whipped cream to make it a little more fun!
Ingredients:
- fresh peaches
- white rum
- triple sec
- peach schnapps
- ice
Kitchen Appliances:
The Steps
Cut and peel all of the peaches. Place the peaches in the blender. Measure out the rum, triple sec and peach schnapps and pour them into the blender. Add in the ice and blend.
Pour the blended drink into two glasses and enjoy with a straw!
This drink recipe is so easy to make. The longest part is definitely skinning and cutting the peaches. Once you are done that part, it is smooth sailing!
Can I make other flavors instead of peach?
Definitely, there are so many different flavors of daiquiris that you can make at home! You just want to switch out the fruit and omit the schnapps. I added schnaps to give the drink some extra peach flavoring so you wouldn't want to add peach if you are doing another flavor!
Can I keep the skins on the peaches?
You can, I just don't like the occasional skin chunk that sneaks through the blender. Usually my blender does not miss any, but I like to take the extra step in order to have a 100% chance of avoiding skin in my drink!
