Sweet Watermelon Margarita on the Rocks. Sweet watermelon juiced to perfection mixed with triple sec, tequila and ice to create the most perfect, refreshing summer cocktail. This recipe is perfect to enjoy while sitting on the pool or sipping on while sitting on the beach on vacation. This cocktail is also perfect to serve to guests for your Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day barbecues!
When I think of watermelon, the first thing I think of is refreshing. They are by far the most refreshing fruit to enjoy on a hot summer's day. So why not enjoy it in cocktail form? Sounds way better in my humble opinion! Catch me on the beach all summer with one of these in my hands!
Also, we don't do salt on the rims with these! Sugar all the way for that extra sweetness in every sip!
Ingredients:
- fresh watermelon
- triple sec
- tequila
- sugar
- lemon slice (to line rim of glass and help sugar stick)
- rosemary for garnish
- ice
Kitchen Appliances:
- blender
- cocktail stirrer
The Steps:
In a blender, add the watermelon. Blend the watermelon until it is a liquid. This should only take about 30 seconds. Add in triple sec and tequila. Stir with a cocktail stirrer. Use a lemon slice to coat the rim of the glass. Dip in sugar on plate and coat the rim. Pour the watermelon margarita in the glass and add ice. Serve immediately.
Can I use a cocktail shaker?
Totally! Just transfer everything from the blender to the shaker! I am personally just a huge advocate of using the least amount of dishes possible.
