This recipe is perfect to serve at your next Memorial Day weekend party, July 4th barbecue or Labor Day weekend barbecue. They can be a classic to make at home while watching baseball games if you want to pretend you're enjoying one at the stadium. This is going to quickly become your favorite way to serve hot dogs at your next barbecue party.
This was inspired by my BBQ Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers on this site, and pairs well with this Grilled Mexican Street Corn.

Instructions
Heat the grill up to medium heat. Chop and prep desired toppings.
Wrap a piece of bacon around a hot dog and insert a toothpick at either end of the bacon to secure the bacon to the hot dog.
Place the bacon wrapped hot dogs either directly on the grill grates or on a removable grill screen. Cook until the bacon is cooked evenly all around. Flip the hot dogs every couple minutes to assure an even cook. Toothpicks can be removed about halfway through cooking.
Place the hot dogs in a brioche hot dog bun. Add desired toppings. Serve immediately.
Hint: use a disposable to reusable wire rack on the grill to avoid the bacon from cooking too quickly and burning.

Equipment
For this recipe, a gas grill is needed. Additionally, this recipe needs toothpicks and if desired, a removable wire rack for the grill. Any utensils needed to prepare toppings are also necessary when making this hot dogs recipe.
Storage
Store the hot dogs separately from the dry ingredients (buns) in the fridge, and recombine when ready. Toppings should also be stored separately in airtight containers. Good for 3-5 days.
These ingredients do stand up well to freezing prior to grilling for 2 months.
Top tip
Use toothpicks to secure the bacon in place on the hot dogs to assure it does not unravel while cooking.
FAQ
This recipe can also be cooked on the stove using the same method. You can also bake or air fry this recipe. To air fry, add the bacon wrapped hot dogs to the air fryer basket and air fry for about 10 minutes at 380 degrees. You can also bake these in the oven at 350 for 12-15 minutes. With both methods, quarter turn the hot dogs every 2-3 minutes.
Some of my favorite condiments to add to this recipe are ketchup and mustard. I sometimes love to add a little smoky bbq sauce to add a nice touch of flavor that pairs well with the smoky bacon slice.
