Substitutions
- Lettuce - instead of ice berg lettuce, you can use romaine lettuce or spinach
- Bun - use gluten free buns instead of white bread buns to make this gluten free
- Sauce - replace the burger sauce with a campfire sauce for a different flavor profile
Variations
- Spicy - add chili pepper flakes on top of the ground beef to add a little heat. Hot sauce can also be added to the burger sauce for extra spice
- Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders - add crispy bacon slices for a delicious addition of flavor and texture

Equipment
To make this recipe you will need a 9x13 inch casserole dish, sharp bread knife and cutting board, and a small bowl. A frying pan is also needed to cook the onions along with a sharp chef's knife. An additional small bowl for the extra burger sauce is also helpful to serve as a dipping sauce with the sliders.
Storage
Store the sliders in an airtight container separate from the burger sauce in the refrigerator. Reheat in the oven at 350 degrees for about 5-10 minutes until warm. Add fresh sauce for best results. Good for 3-4 days.
These ingredients don't stand up well to freezing.
Top Tip
Brush the topS of the rolls with melted butter and garlic for an extra pop of flavor on the slider rolls . The sliders could also be toasted on a griddle for a little extra texture and flavor.
FAQ
These ground beef sliders go great with french fries or sweet potato fries. They are also great when served with crispy potato chips.
I find cheddar cheese provides the best flavor. American cheese is also a great option. As long as you have a melty cheese on your juicy cheeseburger sliders then you have a good cheese for the job.
This special sauce is similar to a copycat Big Mac sauce recipe. The sauce finishes out these delicious mini burgers.
