It is a great sauce recipe to make during the summer season to add to the summer barbecue menu. This homemade big mac sauce recipe helps create the perfect burger and is great for Labor Day weekend, Memorial Day weekend or July 4th weekend barbecues. This copycat big mac sauce recipe is also great as a condiment for any weeknight dinner and is a great way to add extra flavor to any dish.

Ingredients
- mayonnaise
- ketchup
- yellow mustard
- dill pickle relish
- pickle juice

Instructions
- Step 1: Add mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard and dill relish to a medium or small bowl.
- Step 2: Add pickle juice to the bowl.
- Step 3: Mix until combined.
- Step 4: Serve immediately or save for later.
Hint: for minimal dishes, add the ingredients to a mason jar, close the jar and shake until combined.
Substitutions
- Dill Relish - instead of dill relish use sweet pickle relish, the sweet relish will alter the flavor
- Yellow Mustard - use mustard powder as an alternative if yellow mustard is not available

- Spicy - add chili pepper flakes into the sauce to add some heat
- Burger - add sauce to a burger for a delicious recipe
- Kid friendly - serve with chicken nuggets, chicken tenders or with french fries or onion rings for a kid friendly way to use this sauce

Equipment
To make this recipe you will need a small or medium bowl. To store leftovers, use a mason jar. Extra small bowls need to be used as bowls for the dipping sauce when serving.
Storage
Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
These ingredients don't stand up well to freezing.
Top Tip
For extra flavor, add onion powder, garlic powder and a little white vinegar. This extra flavor will take this famous sauce to the next level in the best way possible and make it perfect to pair with beef patties.
FAQ
The flavor of this sauce is similar to a Thousand Island dressing, it does differ but the flavors are very similar overall. It has a very tangy flavor.
If dill pickle relish is not an option, you can chop up some dill pickles to use in the sauce.
