What makes this version of Burger King Zesty Sauce the best version?
This sauce is the best BK's sauce version you are going to find because it is so similar in flavor to the original zesty sauce. It is the perfect balance of sweet, heat, creamy and acidic flavor. I also added a little soy sauce for a little extra umami flavor. My secret though? A tiny bit of sugar. I find that this small addition of sugar completely balances out the different flavors of the main ingredients in a beautiful way.
Substitutions
- Ketchup - instead of ketchup, use one tablespoon of tomato paste
- Horseradish - grate fresh horseradish instead of using prepared horseradish
- Yellow Mustard - can replace with honey mustard
- White Vinegar - can replace with apple cider vinegar if necessary
