It is also great for a dipping sauce for a vegetable tray around Christmas or Thanksgiving. Everyone will adore this easy homemade ranch dressing around the holidays. Ingredients
- sour cream
- mayonnaise
- lemon juice
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- salt
- black pepper
- fresh parsley
- fresh dill
- milk

Instructions
- Step 1: Chop fresh parsley and fresh dill.
- Step 2: Add sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, parsley, dill and milk into a small bowl.
- Step 3: Mix until combined.
- Step 4: Serve immediately or save for later.
Hint: use a mason jar to mix the sauce. Add all the ingredients and seal the jar. Shake until mixed. This will cut down on dishes and then the sauce can be stored right in the jar.
Substitutions
- Sour Cream - if sour cream is not available, use mayonnaise or plain greek yogurt
- Parsley and Dill - use dried herbs if you cannot find fresh herbs

- Hot Honey Ranch - add honey and hot sauce for a delicious hot honey ranch recipe
- Chipotle Ranch - mix in some chipotle sauce to add some heat to the recipe

Equipment
To make this recipe you will need a small or medium bowl. To store leftovers, use a mason jar. Extra small bowls need to be used as bowls for the dipping sauce when serving.
Storage
Store the ranch dressing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
These ingredients don't stand up well to freezing.
Top Tip
For an extra pop of flavor and the absolute best ranch dressing you can get add fresh garlic instead of garlic powder and add fresh chives to the other bunch of fresh herbs. This little bit of added flavor will make your homemade version of ranch so perfect and will give it the best flavor.
FAQ
Any regular milk to fine to use. I prefer to use 1% for a lower fat content but any percent can be used including whole milk. Buttermilk can also be used but this will change the flavor of the ranch. If you want your sauce to be on the thicker side, omit the milk completely.
This recipe is perfect as a ranch salad dressing and is also great as a dipping sauce.
