Ingredients
White bread is the bread of choice for the base of this sandwich. Mayonnaise is spread on the bread to add a little creamy texture and flavor. The sandwich is then packed with crispy bacon, ice berg lettuce, slices of tomato, slices of cheese and slices of deli turkey breast.

- white bread
- mayonnaise
- deli turkey
- American cheese
- tomato
- ice berg lettuce
- bacon
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions

- Step 1: Cook the slices of bacon on medium high heat until crisp. Place cooked bacon on a plate covered with a paper towel to drain the grease.

- Step 2: Slice tomato and lettuce.

- Step 3: Spread mayonnaise on the bottom slice of bread. Layer the lettuce leaf, slice of tomato, cheese, turkey and crisp bacon on top of the first slice of bread.

- Step 4: Place another slice of bread on top of the bacon. Spread a little mayonnaise on top of this slice of bread. Layer more lettuce, tomato, cheese, turkey and bacon on top of this slice of bread. Cover with a third slice of bread. Slice in half and serve immediately or save for later.
Hint: avoid soggy bread by lightly toasting the bread and layering moisture-rich ingredients like tomato and mayo carefully. Use lettuce as a barrier between the wet ingredients and bread.

How to Store a Turkey Club Sandwich
Store the wet ingredients (lettuce, tomato,) separately from the deli turkey and cheese in the fridge in an airtight container, and recombine when ready. Good for 3-5 days.
Leftover bread can be stored on the counter or in a bread box for up to 3-5 days. Leftover bread can also be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
These ingredients do stand up well to freezing for up to 2 months.
Top Tip
Ensure even layering of sandwich ingredients and avoid overstuffing to assure your turkey club sandwiches do not fall apart. Press the sandwich gently but firmly and add a large toothpick before cutting to help bind the layers.
